The King Center presents the 2024 Beloved Community Awards at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta

The Beloved Community Awards is one of the marquee events of The King Center’s week-long annual King holiday experience. The awards recognize national and international individuals and organizations that exemplify excellence in leadership, pursuit of social justice, and commitment to creating the Beloved Community in the tradition of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. and Mrs. Coretta Scott King.

The Beloved Community Awards takes place in Atlanta, Georgia on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at the Hyatt Regency Atlanta, Centennial Ballroom, 265 Peachtree St NE, Atlanta, GA 30303. The attire for the event is formal.

• Beloved Community Coretta Scott King Soul of the Nation Award – Mrs. Deloris Jordan, Advocate and Philanthropist

• Beloved Community Yolanda D. King Higher Ground Award – Michael J. Fox, Award-Winning Actor, Best-Selling Author, and Founder of The Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinson’s Research 

• Beloved Community Civic Leadership Award – Faith and Politics Institute 

• Beloved Community Technological Innovation Award – Gitanjali Rao, Innovator, Author, STEM Promoter 

• Beloved Community Social Justice Award –  Ben Crump, Esq., National Civil Rights Attorney

• Beloved Community Christine King Farris Legacy of Service in Education Award – Spelman College 

• Beloved Community Youth Influencer Award (individual) – Sara Mora, Student, Storyteller, and Immigrant Rights Advocate 

• Beloved Community Environmental Justice Award – Captain Planet Foundation

• Beloved Community Corporate Social Impact Award – Lowe's
